Bambi In Flight! Pic Heavy –
Late afternoon this past Monday Im in my little home office doing my usual, “Sitting in front of the computer playing solitaire, and the Wife-Unit calls out to me from the living room, The deer are back and there is on inside the dog pen.
I grab the Canon and head downstairs.
Sure enough one of the younger deer is inside the fence.
The other young deer is on the outside of the pen as well as a doe.
I get to about ten feet from the pen. The young deer inside the fence starts getting a little excited but the one outside goes back to feeding on the acorns.
I move to the east away from the gate.
The deer inside is really getting excited and the yearling on the outside and a doe take off across the road into the Forest Preserve.
I am just getting the camera up when the yearling inside the dog pen comes charging out.
Definitely not a good photo but the rest of its departure are pretty good.
I then notice the second doe which stood and watched until the yearling was across the road and then she took off.
All the venison got away, AGAIN!
venison hell. these deer think they are your pets.

You and the canon did a great job. So, are you going to lay in a ton or two of hay for the winter? Also some sweet mix and a salt lick. Don’t forget the heater for the water trough.

Cool pix. You have a really good camera. Those are HUGE deer compared to the tiny “dogs” we have in most of Texas.
