Happy New Year!!! RYN: Believe it or not I went to trade school for watchmaking..The Bowman Technical School in Lancaster, PA. I learned the craft from the last of the craftsmen from Hamilton Watch in the early 1970’s. The skills I learned I’ve applied to all kinds of endeavors like this latest phonograph project! I also lived in a boarding house there while attending school for my first for 6months. From the time I left high school my life has been anything but “normal”…. just the way I like it!

RYN:I’m not quite sure that what I’m doing is an “oral history.” Mostly, it’s just isolated stories that I’ve told here. I just hope the kids enjoy re-hearing them.

RYN…No. The floods are way up north but the scale of them is incredible. I feel very deeply for the poor people up there. There is a nation wide campaign to raise money for them. There will be great cost to Australia particulary with produce. Thanks for asking.
