Winter’s not leaving…

*Sigh* it would appear to be one of those Decembers where true winter arrives early and doesn’t get nudged out for periods by fall.  As I’ve detailed lately, we’ve gotten a lot of snow in the first 7 days of December.  In the last 7 days, we’ve gotten around 15 inches of snow – the usual total we get for all of December.  In addition, our temperatures are well below normal – usual high right around freezing with a low around 20.  This morning we were actually above normal in terms of the low, but the problem was that we didn’t move much from that all day…high was around 25 today – our overnight low was about 22.  However, there was Wednesday night into Thursday morning that was REALLY cold…I think we got down to around -8 or -9.  Tonight will be much like that – I think officially they think our low will be around 3, but I’d bet we end up below zero – it’s going to be a clear night and there’s snow on the ground.  So yeah…winter’s not leaving anytime soon…….
