What to Write?

I’m not really sure what I want to write tonight, or what there really is to write.  I was mostly in a good mood today as it’s Friday, the weekend’s here and next week I don’t work three whole days (close, but not quite – my last ENT appt is late Monday afternoon). We’re also doing a bit of incoming training next week, so that should help with some of the insane boredom at work during the day.  I’m a quick reader as a general rule, but I came close to finishing a Nora Roberts novel at work today between calls – and I didn’t read it at all during my breaks or lunch.  And then my parents and I went out to dinner, after which I went over to Borders (as opposed to dealing with the mall for Barnes & Noble) and got another LSAT book (yes, I know I’m slightly obsessed there) and then some more reading material for Monday, a bookmark and the movie Santa Claus is Coming To Town (I love that one and Rudolph).  And then I spent two hours studying for the LSAT tonight.  I’m going to poke through the house and see if we still have the LSAT book I bought nearly two years ago when I was thinking of taking the LSAT (I never did take it at that point.  I see now I wasn’t ready – it was just after I’d graduated from college).  I’ll spend the car ride tomorrow to Illinois studying.  And I discovered tonight that it wasn’t my grandmother that my dad told about the LSAT, it was my aunt, who my dad then swore to secrecy.  So for the moment it’s not going to get around the family just in case I bomb it or don’t get in anywhere come Spring.  But I’m studying my butt off and am going to do my best to get in somewhere.

It sounds like my parents and I are going to have a small Thanksgiving thing here at home around noon or 1 and then clean up and head down to my Aunt’s.  We’ve been invited to their Thanksgiving thing (in addition to my grandparents) but we’re going to have our’s here and then head down with the intent to get there about 3 or 3:30 (they’re eating about 2).  That way we still likely see my grandparents too.  And I’ll be studying on the way down and back during that trip too.  And then the week after Thanksgiving I have a full week of work, and then the following week I just work four days as I’m taking off the Monday after the LSAT.

In other news, it sounds like we’ll be seeing flakes next week, even if only at night.  We’ve seen snowflakes just once so far, back in early October.  Apparently there is one model that is dumping snow on us next week, but it’s an outlier.  But who knows?  We’re in that time of year where it doesn’t take much to snow.  My dad tells stories of Thanksgivings where the high was 0 or they got lots of snow on Thanksgiving (neither of which have happened in my memory).  But it makes for interesting discussion.
