Urgent Care

That’s right – ended up at Urgent Care this morning. I promised a few people I’d give the nurse line a call this morning and then would follow their advice.  Sure enough, the nurse on call told me to go into Urgent Care, mostly because whenever you’ve been coughing up green crap for more than five days, you should be seen.  So went to Urgent Care as soon as they opened, didn’t even have to wait.  I’m on antibiotics for the next few days, and I’ve also got something to help me sleep at night given my cough.  It is still possible it’s viral, as apparently there are some nasty bugs that can hang on for 4-6 weeks.  At this point they want me to see a doc if it gets worse or if I’m not better in two weeks (by that point even a nasty virus should have run its course).  At least my lungs sound clear right now – that was one of the things I was a little worried about, given how long I’ve been coughing.  So now I take the antibiotics and cross my fingers.
