Tired Tired Tired
That’s a good description of me right now. It was 10:45 before I was ready to turn off the light last night. The game didn’t end until about 10:20 and let me tell you, I was pretty wired too. I mean, come on! My Badgers pulled a serious upset and beat one of the big boys 🙂 Even with setting my alarm for 6:15 this morning instead of 6, I was really tired. It didn’t help that I slept poorly too.
The LSAT is on Saturday – not far away now. I spent tonight looking through more study materials. I haven’t decided what my ultimate low score will be but I have a little time to make that decision. Tomorrow night the only LSAT related thing I’ll do is pack my gallon sized back with the things I can take with me. I’m definitely wearing my winter jacket though on Saturday morning, as our overnight low Friday night is in the upper teens and our high on Saturday is only in the 20’s. That brings me to my next point – we had our first actual snowfall tonight. As of a few hours ago, the official total was nearly 4 inches of snow but it wasn’t quite done snowing yet. However, I live near that official total, but not within it. Where I live, we got probably an inch or two – just enough to make the roads slick on the way home. It sounds like we’re due another inch or two Sunday night, with the weather guys keeping an eye on a potential system for the middle of next week. This far out, they watch anything that comes plodding through the Midwest.
I keep having to remind myself that I’m taking Monday off work. I’m going to sleep in, and then I need to take my car into Sears to get the oil changed, new wiper blades, and then essentially get it ready for winter. Then I’ve got a routine doctor appointment back here in town at 2. It’ll be nice though not to have to get up with the sun though. And on Sunday, we’re starting to sing the Christmas songs in the hymnbook – I love singing Christmas songs during Sacrament meeting. Then next week, I’m headed to Brianna’s at some point to go over my song again, followed by singing it in Sacrament meeting likely on the 13th of December. I might do some Christmas shopping while I’m at the mall on Monday. I suspect Sears will need to have my car for an hour or so to take care of everything. On one level, I’m having problems reconciling the fact that Christmas is just three weeks from tomorrow. I know we just got our first snowfall, which around here means that Christmas can’t be that far, but really – how could that much time have passed this year already? It’s been an interesting year to say the least. At some point in the coming weeks, I’ll post a look back on the year – I won’t be able to help myself.
"Life is measured not by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away."
We’ve started singing Christmas hymns at my ward too. Is it bad that I initially read the remark about Badgers as the animal?
