Tired

I’m getting tired of snow already.  That doesn’t usually happen til Feb or March, but it’s happening now.  Usual amount of snow for the winter thus far would be around 25 inches – with today’s snow we’re at 43.  I decided to be nice and go out and shovel the driveway.  We only got about 4 inches of snow, but it’s light and powdery and is blowing everywhere.  There were drifts on the driveway in excess of a foot and a half.  But it’s all done now.  After it got done snowing for good about 2:30 or so, winds picked up and brought in cold temps – temps were around 30, by the time I went out to shovel the driveway at 5, it was 16.  When I came in 75 minutes later, it was 12 degrees.  For those interested, we’re now under a wind chill advisory, starting at midnight tomorrow night (so all day Saturday) through 6am Sunday.  What that means is that temps, combined with winds in excess of 10mph will create wind chills between -20 and -34 for a period of at least 3 hours.  So right now, I’m tired and cold.  I’ve got my brookstone things plus an afghan on so I’ll warm up soon.

So even though I shoveled the driveway and it’s not supposed to snow til tomorrow afternoon (and not much even then), it’ll have to be shoveled or snowblown tomorrow morning, as the winds are blowing the VERY powdery snow everywhere.
