Things on my mind

I’m doing a numbered list so I make sure I put down everything I want to, even if each numbered item is lengthy…they’re not in any particular order

  1. I’ve realized one major thing I’ve learned from the children I teach at church.  I grew up in the church, so the phrase "standard primary answers" or "standard seminary answers" has meaning for me.  Essentially, they’re the standard answers to most questions – read your scriptures, pray, attend your church meetings, pay your tithing, etc.  At this point in my life, I simply think of them as standard answers.  However, to the children I teach at church, the phrases "standard primary answers" and "standard seminary answers" don’t mean anything.  To them, the answers that make up those phrases simply are.
  2. Graduation’s got me conflicted.  Part of me wants it to hurry up and come so I can start the next phase of my life and part of me wants to hold on to college and school with everything I’ve got.
  3. Where has all the time gone?  Seriously, just since Labor Day, things have sped by.  I really got to thinking about this during my counseling appointment on Monday and then as I was driving home.  My counselor mentioned seeing my name on the schedule for the day and being amazed it was already December 10th.  I’m amazed as well. The semester has sped by.  I remember at the beginning of the semester being so afraid I’d be attending a funeral before the semester was out….
  4. This has been one insane semester.  I’ve had all the nonsense that goes with classes, oral surgery, my grandmother, singing this coming Sunday, church stuff, work, and then the day to day stuff with family.
  5. My brothers are a pain in the butt to buy for when it comes to Christmas….if only I could figure out what to get them….
  6. I was going to get my car washed tomorrow, but it looks like it’s going to snow just enough on Saturday to make it a waste of time and money.

That’s it for now . . . .

If they use a lot of salt on the roads in your area it still might be worth it to get the car washed. The longer the salt stays on the worse it is for the car and the new snow will not only give it more salt but more water to get it active.
