Such Faith
As I posted in my previous entry, there’s a little girl in the ward very sick right now. She’s in the hospital with viral pneumonia and is on a ventilator. Her dad is the bishop and her mom always plays for me when I sing in Sacrament meeting. Her parents put together a caringbridge.org website to help keep people up to date on what’s going on (since everyone wants to know and everyone’s praying for her). They posted this around 12:30 this afternoon:
From Brianna & Dave:
We almost lost Clarine a few minutes ago… she seems to have stabilized… but for the first time we were looking death square in the face and wondering if this was it for our little girl… we are not ready to lose her, but we know that her life is in Heavenly Fathers hands…
I don’t know if I could have that much faith in their situation. Apparently Clarine had a rough night last night as well. My mom and I went over to the hospital to see her last night after work. We just said hi to her mother, since Clarine is in Pediatric ICU. But last night they were still very hopeful. I just…I don’t know if I could have that much faith in Heavenly Father in their position.
"Life is measured not by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away."
I hope she’s okay..

I hope she gets better. I hate to see children suffer. Especially my patients.

RYN: Glad to hear she’s more stable.

RYN: That’s one of the big things that’s leading me to look at potentially returning. I have yet to see a protestant church that can stay on track for more than a year at a time, and even then I don’t feel like everything is there. Certainly nowhere I’d be comfortable raising a family. My wife has never really been exposed to the LDS church though, just some of its members. So I don’t know

(continued) how that would go.

RYN: I appreciate the offer. I may take you up on it as questions arise.

Wow, that is such a hard thing to go through. Both for her and her parents.

RYN: Also good ones to read up on. James 1:5 is probably one of the ones I’m the worst at actually living, considering how little I’ve prayed in recent years.

ryn: Thank you so much.. 🙂 I hope so, too..
