Medication and Boredom…
I’m ridicuously bored at the moment. My afternoon class (History of American Business) got cancelled – sick professor. However, I have an appt with one of my TA’s scheduled for when class would have ended. Thus, I can’t simply go home right now as much as I’d like to. So I’m sitting in one of the many libraries on campus and playing around on my laptop. So Im stuck downtown on a day when it’s cold, wet, and windy.
As you may have read, I had debated earlier in the week emailing Keith and studying together tomorrow afternoon. I’ve since decided not to, as my mom won’t be home tomorrow afternoon and thus from 11:30 (when I get home from work) until 2:30 when my brother gets home from school, I’ll have a quiet house to myself. And even then, my brother will head straight upstairs. As a result, the two of us will be by ourselves until 5:30 or later.
The ritalin has been causing some of my muscles to twitch every so often, most notably my eyelids and the muscle on the back of my arm from the elbow to the shoulder. Apparently it’s a side effect that *should* go away in the next few days as my body gets used to the ritalin. My doc’s nurse (I called her to find out if it was a big problem or just a minor irritant) said that if it hasn’t stopped by early next week, to call back and my doc’ll play with the dosage as if it doesnt stop, it means the dosage is too high for my body to handle well. If a lower dosage however doesn’t help with the symptoms of the ADD, it’ll be back to picking a new med. *Joy* [insert sarcasm here]. So now I’m hoping someone, anyone gets online and wants to talk. *boredom*
