Man is it windy!

I discovered there’s a reason we’re under a wind advisory for today (6am-6pm).  Sustained winds of 20-30mph with gusts to 45 not out of the question.  Apparently we could see some downed tree branches and even some of the rotten trees could go down.  I guess they aren’t so worried about power lines going down though (thankfully!).  Tomorrow, we’ll just have sustained winds of 15-25 mph with gusts up to 35.  Between today and tomorrow, most of the rest of the leaves will get stripped off the trees.  There are still some green leaves on the trees, but the vast majority are turning that yellow-green color.  Of course, there are already a lot of leaves on the ground, but these winds will put more of them on the ground.  As I walked from my car to my first class, I definitely wished I’d brought my earmuffs.  With the wind as strong as it is, my ears got cold fast.  Mostly though, I was nice and warm.  I wore a thick sweater today and put my Columbia jacket back together (for those who have never had reason to own a Columbia jacket, they’re great for places that have cold winters and roller coaster falls/springs.  They’re a little pricier, but absolutely wonderful.  They have a windbreaker outside and a very warm fleece inside.  Together, they make for a very warm winter coat.  However, they’re two separate pieces meant to be taken apart in the spring and fall.  As a result, it becomes a warm fleece coat for the spring/fall or a windbreaker for the spring/fall. To an extent, I’ve given up on Keith.  I emailed him over a week ago about studying in the library a week ago today.  He emailed me back saying he’d be around and would drop me a line over the weekend.  It’s been over a week now and I haven’t heard from him.  So I’ve decided at this point it’s time for him to make a move.  I’m okay with the woman making moves, but I’m tired of making all the moves.  He’s a nice guy and cute, but I’m tired of this nonsense.  If he wants to study, he knows how to get a hold of me.
