Just applied for graduation . . .

Okay, deep breaths.  I just applied online to graduate in December of this year.  I could participate in May commencement in two weeks, but *shrugs* what’s the point?  So I’m one step closer to graduation.

It looks like if I want to have an Open House when I graduate, it’ll have to be a week or two before graduation.  Graduation is Sunday, December 16.  I have finals the 18th, 19th, and 20th (yes, that’s AFTER graduation).  By that point, it’s too close to Christmas and my friends from school will have gone home already.  Of course, that means some of my friends from high school that are spread everywhere won’t be able to go, but you win some, you lose some.  If I have one, I imagine a lot of people from the ward will attend 🙂  *Shrugs* we’ll see…I dont know if I want to deal with the hassle, though my brother did point out last night that my parents could handle a great many of the details.  *Sigh* I’m also aware that by graduating in December, the chance of my grandparents coming is slim to none, even if my aunt and uncle volunteer to drive them up.  My cousin (who’s the same age as me) graduates on the 12th and my grandparents are attending her open house.  It worked out well when we graduated from high school, cuz the two of us just had a joint family open house.

On a completely different topic, it looks like reports that the upper midwest may see $4.00/gallon for gas before the summer’s over is on target.  We’re up over $3.00 again for unleaded now, whereas last December/January we were down around $2.20 and even saw prices dip under $2.00 for several days.  We’re already up over $3.00 and it’s not even the usual time for gas to jump around here.  Oh well….

By the way, if anyone’s feeling particularly brave, I did put my AIM s/n on my diary front page 🙂
