Graduation

Graduation is just a week from today…As I’ve been thinking about it more and more lately, I’ve come to think of it as the last step into "adulthood."  I mean, there are many steps along the way, but in my mind this seems to be one of the last.  There’s graduating form high school, turning 18, starting college, turning 21, and then graduating from college.  After this one, there aren’t anymore typical steps.  I guess there is marriage and kids, but I don’t think that those two events "make you an adult."  I know there are those who don’t go to college, but anymore it’s become a necessity.  And after graduating from college, there’s nothing else.  After college comes the "real world."
