A New Year

It’s hard to believe that 2010 is here and has begun.  I know I’ve said this before, but where did the time go?  How did I suddenly get old enough to be six months from my 25th birthday?  In any case, tomorrow I need to finish dealing with my resume and my personal statement.  I want to have all of my information submitted to my schools by Monday morning so that when the letter of recommendation is processed I can just be ready to go.  The other thing is that tonight I’ve got a sore throat that I can’t shake. For now I’ve taken some Tylenol and will hope for the best. Mostly I just want my voice back, but that may not happen.  In other news, NIU is quickly becoming my favorite of the law schools I’ve looked at and will be applying to. It sounds like the best housing option will be a little more expensive but definitely appealing. One of the housing options for grad students are on campus apartments.  I’d LOVE to have my own apartment!  If at all possible, I’d rather not have a roommate.  I know before I get married (whenever that happens) I need some time on my own in a non-dorm setting.  Living in an apartment on campus would help provide that.  But we’ll see – nothing’s guaranteed yet.  However, it is possible I could know before January is out if I got in to Northern (NIU = Northern Illinois University).  So I’m crossing my fingers – like really REALLY crossing my fingers.  So keep me in your prayers! 🙂 And as I put on Facebook this week: 2009 was an interesting year but 2010 has the potential to be on wild ride!

Oh – if you’re looking for previous entries – just look through the other chapters 🙂  They’re all still there!

2 months from my 30th! I find it hard to believe as well — how many science fiction novels were set in the year “2010!” Nice to meet you, friend!
