Outgrown

We outgrow clothes. We outgrow shoes. We outgrow lots of things. But for some reason, we don’t think about how we can outgrow our lives.

‘til death do us part.

but who are we when we make that decision? I remember working tirelessly on my vows  trying to think of the right thing to say  how yo establish my belief that things couldn’t change

actually, let me rephrase  I knew they would change  change is the one constant in life  to promise to never change is to promise to lie  but I talked about changing together  that’s what takes courage  facing the uncertainty of the future and venturing forth together  whatever comes, together we will tackle it

but, what if you don’t?  Is it anyone’s fault that the change splits you?  What if the other person decides, after a few steps into the unknown,  to not embrace that change?

are you stuck?  And you are too damaged to stand p for what you thought you agreed upon.  And the days become weeks, become months, becomes years  and then years become decades

this is not my large automobile !
