Third Time’s “supposed to be” the Charm

Right?

Guess not.

Second date with "Sweet" was at a steakhouse for early lunch.  We planned on doing something after.  Lunch was good.  Decent conversation, still in the learning about each other phase.  Went to Taco Mac for some beers after.  (well beer for me, he’s allergic to gluten)  More conversation.  No big attraction for me.  He’s a nice guy, I enjoy talking to him…but no flirtyness or anything.  When we said goodbye he gave me a very quick peck on the lips.

Third date.  I drove up nearer to his place (about 25 minutes north of me) to a fancier steakhouse.  White table clothes, candles…the works.  It was very "lodge-y."  Lots of dark wood, huge fireplace.  We were one of about 5 tables.  Another nice dinner.  More decent conversation.  Still…I don’t know.  No beating of the heart, no anticipation of what’s to come, no flip flopping stomach.  Again, after dinner he gave me a very quick peck goodnight.  This is date three, I think we need to move on to an actual kiss.  I even lingered…but short of me doing the work I wasn’t happening.   *sigh*

We’ve been texting all weekend.  (I am cleaning out my guestroom in anticipation of my new roommate moving in and he was out of town)  The attention is nice, don’t get me wrong, but I want sparks!  However, at this point in most other situations I would be done.  No longer responding or communicating.  Nothing is drawing me closer, but nothing is making me stop.  Not sure what that’s all about.  Fourth date is supposed to be him making me dinner.  Perhaps that will be the time to see if there is any attraction…

Hmm, sounds like even though you may not be attracted to him you are willing to give it time for the attraction to happen. 3rd date isn’t conclusive though. I once went out with someone for 8 dates and there was no spark, and I did pretty much the same thing as you’re doing. Blessing in disguise, he went, never heard from again. Just as well, it would’ve been a nightmare, lol. G~

Nothing wrong with going with the flow for a bit…If after a few more dates and you’re still feeling nothing then perhaps it will be time to move on. Enjoy the fun dates =)
