calling everyone

ok heres the thing guys – i need your help

all of you hopefully know that im a core member of the bracknell forst youth forum and in July i organised and ran a conference.  this was atteneded by 12 gibraltrians as well as young people from our local community.  now its out turn to go to them for a Global Citizenship conference in july 2006.

now i’m going with another member of the forum in feb to check it all out and the funding for that isnt a problem because the council can play for that.  the council are having to cut 6 million pounds by April which means the youth service have had to cut 40 thousand so our budget doesnt exisit now.  so we have to fund raise around £5000 to take 10 young people and 2 youth workers for a week leading up to the conference and the conference weekend to Gibraltar.

my thoughts are that we could arrange a raffell, but not with stuffed toys or anything this needs to be big.  we all take responsibility for tickets and sell as many as we can each.  we ask companies to donate prizes in exchange for publicity.  my ideas so far for companies that we stand a chance with are:
tesco’s
CMP
John Nike (i can suck up and use experience of serving him lol)
mobile phone companies

now im stuck thought so im asking for your help in ideas or personnal contacts to a company who may be able to help us.  also any other ideas on fundraising will be great!
