Best laid plans
I’m generally pretty laidback, go-with-the-flow person.
Scratch that, I’m lying and we both know it.
I have control issues. It’s usually just controlling my own environment, my routine and comfort zone, but with that often comes a need to control others so that they don’t shift my delicately balanced Life Plan. If we make plans, I’m ok if they change but I am absolutely NOT okay if we make plans and you change them and never give me a heads up. THAT will piss me straight off in .0002 seconds. I don’t care if it’s just that you decided you weren’t in the mood to see me, or something better came along – just do NOT leave me hanging, waiting and expecting you. It’s disrespectful, inconsiderate, and the actions of an asshole.
Which led me to realize, this happens frequently enough that I feel a need to put it on blast here, and you know what that tells me? I’M the common denominator in this. So obviously I am not making myself clear to others how passionately explosive this makes me.
So, no more “I thought we had plans, what happened, it’s cool,” from now on when plans are made, I will make it obscenely obvious that I am holding you to those plans, and if things change and you don’t let me know, it better be a matter of life or limb because otherwise, you’ve lost my trust and I will NOT be making future plans with you.
This has happened three times in the past two days, and if you can’t even make a simple phone call or text, fuck you, I have no use for someone who has that little respect for me and my time.
Sonofabitch that pisses me off.
“Sometimes life’s so much cooler when you just don’t know any better and all the painful lessons have not hammered your head open yet.” -Anthony Kiedis
This pisses me off to no end as well. Take 5 seconds and let the person know something else came up… this is just common curiosity. People are generally flakes, it’s the ones that have a shred of loyalty that you should keep in your life, because they will be there when you need them.
