Life is good!
Life is good. REALLY good. I’d say best its been in my 29 years. They say good things happen to those who wait. Well I am definitley living proof of that.
Back in October, my best friend set me up with a guy that she met where she worked who happened to be going through a divorce. She told me "If I was single, I’d jump all over that!" But then at the same time, she said "He’s so perfect for you!" Well she wasn’t lying. And honestly, I didn’t think it would work. She’d set me up before. And it was a complete fail.
So we exchanged numbers with her and started conversation through texting. His name is Dale. He’s 30 years old, and works in IT. He also has two little boys, 2 and 4. Turns out, we’d actually worked together when we were 16 years old at a call center. So I knew of him, but didn’t really remember talking or getting to know him. Well our texting went from about 10 a day, to about 100 a day pretty fast. Then we’d talk each night after my daughter was in bed. We had our first date at the end of October. It was so perfect, and I couldn’t stop looking at him. His look has such conviction. Like he’s trying to memorize every part of my face. His smile was intoxicating.
It was a friday night. We met for dinner, because we live about 45 minutes from eachother right now. Got to the restaurant and sat to wait for about a half hour before our table was ready. So we talked, got to know eachother a little more. He looked amazing. As soon as our pager went off for our table he stood up and grabbed my hand. It was the sweetest thing ever. 🙂 We sat down and had great food, great conversation and a wonderful time. After dinner we had tickets to go on a haunted hayride, since it was near halloween. It was about 35 degrees out, so of course he wrapped his arms around me. And we had a really fun time. After the hayride he asked if I wanted to go dancing for a little while at a local country bar. I agreed. We danced, he kissed me and the night was perfect. The rest is sort of history. He’s it for me. He’s wonderful with Abby and treats her momma so good! He’s everything we deserve. And I understand now, why all my past relationships never worked out. They weren’t him.
We actually went to Vegas back in April and it was the most fun I’ve ever had. 🙂
Aside from Dale, I also took a job offer I was offered about a year ago, that happens to be in his town. Which works out so wonderful. He’s asked us to move in with him, so at the end of June, early July, thats our plan. Back to school this fall to finish up, flying to Hawaii to get married and a baby with the man I love. I can truly say my future excites me so much I can hardly stand it.
Here’s a few pics. 🙂
