OD Tracker Survey

OD tracker survey. (Snatched from several of you.)

Thank you for deciding to do this. This is an experiment to track a survey around OD.

The reason I am doing this is simple. I thought it might be interesting to see for myself how far a survey could go round this site from this humble entry. It’ll also be interesting in a 6 degrees of separation way.

The instructions:

If you decide to do this survey, I would like it if you went to the entry where the survey originated (at the following address: http://www.opendiary.com/entryview.asp?authorcode=A155313&entry=20580&mode=) and leave me a note saying who you got the survey from.

You can of course change the answers you give to the survey, but I would appreciate it if you left the instructions and the questions as they are. You can put the link back to the originating entry as a hyperlink, but please keep the address in there as well to make things easier for anyone who wants to yoink it from you.

OK, ready? Here we go…

1) What is your name? Misty. And no I haven’t seen the Clint Eastwood movie Play Misty for Me and no, my parents weren’t hippies.

2) Where did you get your diary name from? Langwidere is the name of the evil princess from the Oz books. She got merged with the character Mombi in the Fairuza Balk movie, Return to Oz. Langwidere’s the one with the multiple heads she changes like shoes. When I first started choosing my internet user names I was obsessed with the concept of multifaceted personalities and how some people only see certain sides and there are some that no one ever sees at all.

3) Where did you get your diary title from? I adore alliteration and really, that’s what my diary is: A grouping of rare and random realizations as I continue to discover myself and learn more of the world around me.

4) Have you ever created any interests on OD? If so, which ones? No.

5) Do you have any tattoos or piercings? If so what and where? If not, you planning any? Yes. I’ve got a tattoo on my left hip and my ears are pierced – two in the lobes of each and one in the cartilage of my right ear. I would like another tattoo (most likely a pair of ruby slippers or some other iconic symbol from the Land of Oz) and I’ve always been fascinated with the industrial piercing, though I doubt I’ll ever do it.

6) Who are your favourite bands? At the moment (because it always changes), Finger Eleven and, well Finger Eleven. I’m not in a “band” phase so much right now. Unless you count musical cast recordings, which you probably don’t.

7) Name some of your favourite films: The Wizard of Oz, Run Lola Run, The Bourne Trilogy, anything Tim Burton, The Red Violin, etc.

8) Name some of your favourite TV programmes: House, Dexter, The X-Files and The Big Bang Theory. Clearly I love psychotic braniacs.

9) What is your biggest guilty pleasure? Coke. As in the cola. From a soda fountain, ideally.

10) How long have you had a diary at OD? Forever. 9 years in March. I’ve never even had the same mailing address for 9 years.

11) Do you have a paper diary/journal? Yes. I use it all the time. Seriously, ALL the time. You don’t even know.

12) Name some of your favourite books: The Story of B, The Dark Tower Series, Wicked, etc.

13) How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood? I googled this because that’s what I do and this was my favorite answer: It might depend on how many female woodchucks were present. Or, it could depend on whether the woodchuck’s mother-in-law was around or not. If she was, he’d be chucking all day. If not, he’d be watching the football game.

14) Where are you politically? I’m a commie bastard. In theory.

15) Do you like any sports? If so, which teams do you support? Not particularly, no.

16) What is your dream job? Crafting and surfing the internet all day long.

17) How, if in any way, is the different from your dream job aged 10? When I was 10, I believe I wanted to be a judge, so pretty different.

18) Are you mad? Probably in a few ways, but pretty sane in others.

19) Where are you right at this minute? My desk chair at my desk in the corner of my room.

20) Can you fight the moonlight? Yes, but I don’t want to and you can’t make me.

There are other entries I could have spent this time writing, but I’ll get to them eventually.

thinking of swiping it, but later on if i do 😛

You should totally get the industrial. Look at it this way – you’re already halfway there! 😀 If I didn’t work at a pharmaceutical company and therefore not allowed any jewelery, I’d get my tragus pierced. See, so I have to live vicariously through you!

Hah! Woodchuck answer is classic. 😛

I have never read The Dark Tower series. I really need to but my reading list is so long and with my 52 books challenge I am trying to read a variety. Though I haven’t even reached 30 books yet and I don’t know if I’ll reach 52 by the end of the year (unless I read more short novels).

RYN: I’ve heard of those programs but doubt I could install it at work and I’m the type of person who wouldn’t stick with it. I need to change my behaviour. Tried audiobooks but couldn’t get into them. The library has free downloads but I get distracted and end up missing parts.

RYN: Yeah, fo me it’s almost no effort at all keeping track of the calories at this point. Since I hadcore-calorie-counted back in ’06, I pretty much still remember how many calories most food has, so if it doesn’t say it on the label, I can guess pretty well. Or I look it up online. =)

I still remember when you were Tiller. 🙂 My first assumption was that you were really into farming…
