Careful What You’re Feeling (WWW4)

This Past Week in a Word: Good.

Overall Feeling – Emotional: Distanced, excited.

Overall Feeling – Physical: Fat, lazy.

Reading: Nothing! Though I should have been reading The Queen’s Fool for the book club meeting next Saturday. I’m picking up a copy of it tonight from the Boulder library. It’s long. I’m not looking forward to reading it and probably won’t finish it. I read the wiki synopsis so I’ll be reading it more or less to get a feel for the way it’s been written.

Watching: Movies.

Listening: Local Radio station, 93.3.

Song Stuck in My Head: None in particular.

Best Meal: With Kyle at The Outback. I can’t remember what day it was… Friday, maybe?

Website of the Week: The Altered Book Group on Facebook.

Projects of the Week: Fixing lunches, motivating myself to exercise, figuring out how to wash and store salad greens. I’ll probably be buying a salad spinner sometime soon. Finishing up my Big Binder!

Working on my NaNoNotebook.

Craving of the Week: Grilled Cheese. I will probably make myself one tonight, if my roommate’s not home. (I have a ridiculous aversion to cooking while she’s home.)

Not So Cool Things: Going back to working two jobs after my weekend off.

Cool Things: Getting a $10 gift card to Buca di Beppo in the mail for seemingly no reason.

New & Improved: Skin! My face-washing-and-dousing-with-benzoyl-peroxide regimen is starting to work. I mean, it’s been working, but it’s really starting to feel and look like it’s working. For the most part.

Question of the Week: Have I ever made any conscious decisions about what to do with my life?

Big Ideas: Going to two movies on Kyle’s birthday. He enjoyed it.

I Felt Most Accomplished When I sent out my Altered Book to Sandra. It was nerveracking though, too.

To Do For Upcoming Week: Continue organizing things.

Looking Forward To: NaNoWriMo, finishing up my room so I can post pictures for you guys (there’s one section left that needs tidying and I haven’t gotten to it yet), making my mixed CD, levelling AnnabelleLee, getting my Bento Box and sauce bottles. They’re in Tokyo right now, which is pretty cool.

I’ve been considering starting up with Postcrossing again. It’s something that I spent a lot of money on back when and I still have the necessary supplies to do it (stamps, postcards) and it’s awesome to get some random postcards in the mail. I wanted to do this whole cataloging project with it, though, which is part of why I stopped – because I didn’t feel I had the time to do the cataloging the way I wanted to. So I might do it without the cataloging and call it good. I might just do a little though, instead of throwing myself into it, which is what I normally do with projects and things of this nature.

From the pictures above, you can see that I’m planning on doing 2,000 words a day for NaNo so that I can have Sundays off. I’m not saying I won’t write on Sundays, and I probably will just to get ahead, but I’m leaving it open and trying to plan in an off day. I imagine my schedule at Michaels is going to get more hectic throughout the month, so I’m hoping this will work and I’ll finally win. We’ll see though.

Also, I took more pictures of my Big Binder! last night but they came out all blurry. I was hoping to share the gloriousness of it, but that’ll just have to wait, I guess. So far, I haven’t been using it too much, but I’ll get there.

Um, yeah. That’s about it. Except for this picture of the inside of a balled ambrosia melon. It fascinated me.

What? I don’t understand that melon! Please imagine a very quizzical look on my face.

I’m fascinated by your melon too. Weird.

Honor’s comment would have been way funnier if she’d added an “s”. :p Mom has one of those salad spinners and swears by them. What is Postcrossing?

ryn: it TOTALLY looks 3-D! I was like, “is it…is that…? Is that a weirdly-shaped variety of melon where you can cut off half the rind and it looks like a pile of melon-colored foam insulation? What?” Seriously confused. I feel better now! Thanks for the explanation!

If you find a salad spinner in a store please tell me which one. I want one, but can’t really get it up to buy one online. But I can’t find them anywhere. The melon is messing with me. It doesn’t look concave, it looks like the top of a pie or something. I have to concentrate to see what it actually is.

Ah, Philippa Gregory. I haven’t read Queen’s Fool, but I’ve read the Other Boleyn Girl. I’m sure QF is more soapy Tudor trashy fun. Postcrossing sounds interesting. I might look into that; I love sending cards and letters, so it sounds up my alley.

That’s the weirdest looking melon I have ever seen… Hard to believe it’s almost time for NaNoWriMo again!

Nice melons. HAHA! No but really, it looks cool. And I feel fat and lazy too. Ugh.~jo

I looks like a brain or colon wall of some kind. ….

I have SO MANY POSTCARDS. I would buy them for no reason and never send them to anyone! So what’s this postcrossing thing, then? I’m quite curious 🙂

Oooh, I always am surprised that it’s nearly NaNoWriMo, and it’s been a whole year again! Good luck! 🙂 Oh, and I dropped in ’cause I saw your note to Krud. You can use BR tags when noting. I believe all format tags work when writing notes, and it’s just the url tag that’s disabled. Unless that was disabled in the past week… I was away in the hospital, so I hope I’m not sounding like a dork ^^;;
