I missed the bus I normally catch so I thought I’d give a quick update. I decided to email BOLI about the doctor’s note/absence situation, because to me it borders on discrimination against agency employees. For a quick recap, the company I provide work for won’t let agency employees condense or waive attendance points with a doctor’s note, yet they’ll sometimes let company employees do the same. Yet the agency is supposed to be able to do as they see fit for consequences with agency employees. WTF? I also told my agency yesterday that I’m considering filing a workman’s comp claim if I exhaust all other means of protecting myself. It’s not meant to be a threat, just safeguarding my own ass.
