Quick placeholder entry for all of you, since it’s really late (or early depending on your point of view) and I need to get to bed. I’ve made some decisions about my job that my husband fully supports, and I have also taken up knitting socks (with pictures to come on that later).

Well, as far as work is concerned, I’m honestly probably screwed for attendance. My agency is more than willing to condense the attendance points accrued under the doctor’s note I submitted, but the company refuses to allow them to do so, yet they allow company employees to do so. I have brought this to the attention of BOLI and will also be filing for OFLA (Oregon’s version of FMLA) as soon as I’m eligible to do so in mid-April. If BOLI tells me I’m screwed and if I am denied time under OFLA then we’ll take it from there. The advantage of working for a temp agency is that if I get terminated from this assignment it doesn’t look as bad. My reasoning behind this is that there was never any guarantee that I’d be hired on permanently, so all that needs be said is that my assignment ended and I can seek another job through the temp agency. Or even outside the agency for that matter.

On a knitting note, here is the much awaited picture entries. These pair are both for Andrew due to him running low on socks.

Nice colouring. Working temp work for nazi’s isn’t fun.
