“And they lived…” Wedding Photo Recap!

It’s definitely not ALL, but a couple nice shots from the many, many, many, many amazing shots care of my Amazing Photographer!!

***So a couple turned into many! I hope you all enjoy these… 🙂

I bought these amazing, handmade clay hair flowers for my bridesmaids, my mother and I. They’re so beautiful, and so light you can’t even feel it in your hair, anyways, it photo’d so nicely, I wanted to include one!

Make- Up, one of the "getting ready photo’s I really wanted, was getting my makeup done, being a make-up artist and all!

My something’s:
Something old: My Mothers anklets from her Wedding
Something borrowed: My mothers Nosering from her wedding (these were my Indian inclusions for the day)
Something New: My shoes, my dress, lol
Something Blue: The Boustier of my dress was made with baby blue boning…!

Sam and I, if anyone reads me. knows we hang out at the SC a fair bit. At least we did while we resided in the beauty of downtown Ottawa. (Can you tell I miss it?)

Of all of my friends, I’m the only one who had rain on my wedding. The forecast called for rain, for everyone I know who got married this year, but they all avoided it, and somehow came out with Sun.

Sam and I planned a ‘first look’ gift exchange, at the SC. To hell with the rain, we were going to do it anyways…!

After the first look, Sam and I went back to the Condo, and toasted with our Wedding Party….

I have to be the first bride…EVER, to be early for my wedding. We chilled in Heathers office, for a good 45 minutes, before the guests (whom were all pretty much late…!) arrived. Though we (the wedding party) were ahead of schedule, the guests finally finished trickling in, and we started the ceremony 15 minutes late…!

Sam and I wrote our own ceremony. From the first word to the last, the entire script came from us, (with exception of the reading; "A Lovely Love Story").

Instead of saying "I do", we said our own sentiment, and we wrote our own vows…! My mother asked us to incorporate a Sindoor, and Mangal Suthra Ceremony to tie some Indian elements into it, but we very specific to keep it, religion free, just like us…!

Portraits:

Blair takes the best pictures ever… I love these 😀 They need no introduction or explanation…!

I want this one in a Canvas!

We were on time for everything, which… brides… I highly recommend! We were so chill, and laid back, and that relaxed atmosphere, made the day so much better, and so much more enjoyable! Plus, we got to eat. Sidedoor saved us some canapes, which we had a couple of moments to munch on before dinner, and that extra time, gave us time to eat and enjoy all the aspects of our wedding! Food =Amazing. If you happen to be in Ottawa, try out the food at Sidedoor, the fish taco’s are a must!

Our Bridal party entrance song was "Praise You" by Fatboy Slim, and for our kissing game, we had people tell jokes! That escalated fast, but it kept our guests laughing all through dinner. Our MC, was dynamic and amazing, and he kept kept our guests laughing despite that the joke telling game was a last minute inclusion…!

Sam and I somehow got two, first dances…! A friend of ours (the DJ) sings, and he sounds just like Sinatra, and he sang for us for, what turned out to be our second "first dance"…!

After our first, first dance, we had Will play "Shots!" by LMFAO, and we had the wait staff, weave through the dancefloor serving up our Signature shot. to get the party started. There was only twice during the night, where the dancefloor wasn’t packed… when the toonie bar opened, and when the late night poutine station opened…! It was amazing, we drank, and danced until 2am!

These are just two of the many hilarious and amazing pictures from the party!
For the bouquet toss Will played "Move Bitch" – Ludacris, and for the garter we chose "99 Problems – Jay Z". All in all this was (biased opinion) the best night of my life. I got to marry my best friend, and we said goodbye to Ottawa, and see you soon to family and friends who are like family, in the best way possible!

You and your husband are quite possibly the most handsome couple I have ever seen! 🙂 On top of that you can tell that you two are genuinely happy to be together. You can also tell that everyone had an amazing time with the reception and dinner party. I’m sure that y’all put a lot of thought into everything and it paid off extremely well. Congratulations you two!

You are such a lovely bride, wow! You guys look so happy and I’m glad things went so well, rain and all.
