WOOHOO! GO ME!!
*laughing* I wrote an email to the local news channel, stating a glaring flaw in a man’s news cast…
The funny thing is, they never seem to respond.
Much to my mother’s irritation, I woke up this morning and lo-and-behold! What do I see?
“Re: Concern about recent news broadcast.”
Never in my life did I expect to find that he’d replied!
So, here’s the email I sent…
I feel that I must inform you that what *edited out* stated about the Passion of the Christ was wrong. The movie is filmed in Latin, most certainly because of Rome, however, Jesus is not speaking Latin in the movie. He is speaking Aramaic, which is his native tongue. It is the language that was spoken in Galilee during that time. (The Apostles and Mary are speaking it as well, and likely the Sanhedrin.)
Jesus was a Hebrew. He was not Roman.
I felt that I should make you aware of that misinformation.

>Thank you for your interest in our story and for your email. I was given erroneous information about the film. If I do another piece on the film I will be sure to make the distinction that the film has both languages — Aramaic and Latin with English subtitles.

>I hope my mistake did not take away from the piece that aired. We appreciate you as a viewer and feel free to email any comments about stories to us.

I am impressed as well. Did you know that the guy who played Christ in that movie was struck by lightning during the filming? You think that would have meant something to them. =P
