Thirst For Fantasy
I am thoroughly addicted to the story of Drizzt Do’Urden in the Forgotten Realms series by R. A. Salvatore. (Who, oddly enough has the same initials as Rob.) I was so upset when I got to work and realized I’d forgotten Homeland at the apartment. But it’s nopt like I got a chance to do much of anything besides help at the makeline and deliver pizzas. Memrie said she’d close for me, though, so I finished up the dishes for her and got to go early. That was nice. As was making over forty bucks in tips. As was the other thing that happened today, around two thirty.
See, Rob and I picked up a PS2 a couple days ago, along with a Street Fighter game that Mike took with him when we divided up the systems. I’ve been looking for that game on and off for months! This one guy at a gmae store told me I’d be lucky if I found it used for under forty, but there it was, a used version of it, for thirty! Anyway, I picked it up, we got a silver PS2 for one twenty, and I’ve been getting my thumbs used to taking that kind of punishment again. The final guy in the game is this freakin’ HARD guy named Gill, who basically has some kind of cheat things built into his character to make him even harder to beat. I could always make it to him without having much of a problem. I might even be able to best him in one match out of two, or one out of three. Never, not in all the times I attempted, could I win against him and go through the ending of the game for the character I picked. I always handed it to Mike and even he was hard pressed to overcome Gill.
Well, today, ladies and gentlemen, at about two-thirty pm, I beat Gill and it only took me three tries!
As for my cliffhanger entry, feel free to leave me your IM in a private note, and I’ll tell you about it if you want. I’ve gotten better with things and don’t really feel that way anymore, but that doesn’t mean I can’t explain it to someone who wants to know.
