Taking My Moment

::Ahem, ahem, ahem::

WE RULED!!  WE DID IT!!  OH, YEAH, YEAH, YEAH!  WE ARE THE SUPERIOR CHAMPONS, WE OWNED YOU, BOW DOWN BEFORE THE CURRENT ENCORE CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!

Okay, I’ve had my moment.  Last night was the party for Denny and Bryan over at Denny’s house.  I didn’t go for the first couple of hours.  Instead I stayed at home reading manga, writing the previous entry, and generally being depressed.  Then I decided I should go over there.  I needed cheering up and I probably shouldn’t stay alone.

So I got in the car and went over there.  When I got to the house, the guys were playing some kind of PS2 game and Mike and Raj were debating over Yugi again.  I swear, they spend more time debating merits of whatever cards than they do actually playing the game!  Anyway, Colleen and Shannon had gone out to get food stuff that Shannon’d be able to eat.  (And Jacqui, who turned up later.)  And while they were gone, Rob decided to go over to Domino’s and see if Mike could hook him up with free pizza.  He wasn’t able to because the other manager was there, but he still came back with three pies.

Then, when everything was settled and food was being made, I was siting at the tableeating pizza and Shannon leaned down to me and said, “You brought Encore, right?”

I hadn’t, but was gonna go back for my CD’s anyway, since Bryan had brought his karaoke machine.  So, Shannon and I drove over to my house, after I whacked my upper arm on the door trying to get in, and got Encore and my CD’s.  Which reminds me, I should make up that songlist to give her . . .

Anyway, we ate, sang a bunch of songs, (okay, I sang most of them,) and only me, Mike, Shannon, and Qui wanted to play Encore so we set up over near the karaoke machine to do that.  I said there should be random teams, cuz the last time the four of us played, it was the two of them verses me and Mike.  We randomized it, but it wound up as those teams again anyway.  So, oh well.  But Mike and I won the roll to go first and from there, I dominated the rolls.  They never got ahead of us and we won probably the better half of the matches for words/categories.  Then, on the second try, we made it onto the final encore to go through the whole card and got it the first try.

So yeah.  We dominated that game. 

All in all, it was a good day.
