Other Job Possibilities *Updated*

My Mood:  smiley  smiley  — Pissed Off/Concentrated

I was thinking about it earlier today.  You see, even if things at the dollar store were perfectly fine, and everthing was going great, there are still some simple facts that I have to look at.  I make six dollars an hour.  Even without taxes taken out, I still only make five hundred dollars a month.  And if Mike, Bryan, Colleen, and I got an apartment, half of that money would go for my fourth of the rent, if not a bit more.  Which would mean I wouldn’t be able to spend any other money, because I’d be holding on to it for the other bills I have.  Individual and combined.  All in all, I need a better job.  One that pays more, or gives more hours.  I.e.–How I decided I should start looking for a full-time job.

Now, true, I applied to Keansburg, but let’s face it — that boardwalk is only open during the Spring and Summer.  I’d be out of a job as soon as winter came around, which brings us back to that whole money problem ^^up^^ there.

And then there’s the fact that when I got home today, apparently there was a message left by one of the owners from the dollar store for me, saying that neithe rof them is hppy with how I’ve done the balloons.  Well, I’m not done reorganizing the balloons, so of course they can’t find everything yet.  But if they’d use the freakin’ BINDERS that I taped just about every balloon into, then maybe they’d have more luck!

Okay, wow.  I found about four places in the classified ads in the paper that I decided to check out.  One is a kennel down on highway 35 and I believe it’s for a full time position.  I called that one first and figured let me call one each day.  And they just called me back and we set up an interview!!!  How cool is that?  So I’m gonna get off now and go take a shower, get myself nice and spruced up, and I’ll let you know how things go when I get back.

Wish me luck!  Bye for now!

Okay, so I went for that interview, and it was basically just filling out the application.  They said they’d call if they were interested in giving me an in-depth interview.  So I doubt I’ll hear anything from them, but who knows.

I had also found three or four other ones.  One, a mother wanting someone to watch her two year old daugter from 9 to 2 Monday through Friday, and she’ll pay 175 a week!  How great is that?  So when I got home from going to the kennel place, I called her up and left a message.  Then I called this diner place and they said I could come down and fill out an application.  So I went, found the place more easily than I thought I would, and filled out the application.  But it tunred out I wasted my time because the guy didn’t want someone who hadn’t had prior experience in a restaurant!  And then I got lost on the way back, but it turns out that it was fairly easy to find my way home, so I was happy about that.  Yay.

Anyway, I came back to Airport Plaza and Colleen and I were talking about the apartment plans.  Then I drove Denny home and me, Mike, Bryan, and Colleen talked about diferent apartment specs.  Rules, prices, how much we’d need to make a month, how much we’d need to put towards things, etc.  Despite a lot of unnecessary talking and off-subject stuff, we did get a lot accomplished.  I hope I get a second job, or an alternate one from the dollar store soon.  Cuz then I can start slamming money into my account and just save, save, save.

The only thing I’m worried about really, is Bryan.  Honestly, I don’t think that he’s grown up enough to take on this kind of responsibility.  Not to mention that his mom is only a few nuts short of where Jason’s mom is, and that’s a definite problem.  But long story short, Bryan barely contributed anytingtonight, and what he did contribute had nothing to do with what we were talking about.  I mean, rules for our sanity, and he says something about bringing his stereo.  That’s not something that would be a rule.  That’s an object he’d bring along with him.

With him, or with someone else, though, I do think we can make this work.  We’re hopefully all gonna save up at least 1500 by September 15th, if not more, and 3000 or more by December 15th.  By July 15th, we’re gonna know who the four people are.  Whether it’s me, Mike, Colleen, and Bryan, or me, Mike, Colleen, and person X.  Who person X is right now, not a clue.  We have two possibilities, but … I don’t know.

I hope these job things, at least one, works out.  I mean, if I got the daughter watching one, I could do that during the week, then work at Keansburg on the weekends, and BOOM! I’m in the money.  I really hope this works out.  I really want it to.

Oh.  A good thing about the dollar store.  I had to go there today to explain what I was doing as far as the balloons and the owner said that he wants it finished by tomorrow.  So, I’m gonna stay there until it’s done, which basically means I may be there the entire day.  Which means I’ll have God only knows how many hours on my paycheck.  So this rules.  I’m gonna get over three hundred for my paycheck, no doubt.

Okay, I’m gonna go.  Bye!!
