Okay, So . . .

My Mood:   — Argh

Well, I’d had a rant that I’d written in here, another faves only, but smehow it got deleted and frankly I really don’t feel like retyping it.  It’s rehash, I’m gonna be feeling this way for a bit, so I figure I’ll get it out later rather than writing entry after entry on faves only now.  It’s not worth it.  They’re not worth it.

Anyway.  I went for training at Domino’s today.  It had next to no point, lol.  Except for me filling out the necessary paperwork.  I went on a run with one girl, got the feel of how it was done, and basically hung out ad told stories and laughed with them for about two and a half hours.  I think it’s gonna be a really neat place to work.  And hopefully the tips are gonna be nice.  This older woman said she got about sixty one night.  So, that’s nice.  I’m gonna keep any tips I get as my fun money and then both paychecks, from there and friom Keansburg, are gonna be put aside for bills/savings.

I’m still debating when I wanna quit the dollar store.  I honestly don;t really wanna work there another week.  But if I hodl out and go through it, I should have about thirty hours on my tie card, which means about a hundred and eighty bucks.  Which means I can pay off my credit card and get the car repaired and pay the gym.  Which I need to start going to.  I think I’m gonna see if I can switch it.  Pay the extra whatever, and go to the year long plan.  That’s five bucks less a month, and it’ll go through to December and after that I’m free.  Which will be a lot better.  I like exercise, but I don’t see myself going to a gym three days a week, especially not if I’m working two jobs.  Oh, well.  I’ll see if I can work it out next time I go there.

Honestly, working these two jobs, even with Keansburg only being seasonal, if I play my cards right, I’m gonna have a buttload of money to play with at the end of the summer!  There’ll be tips from Domino’s, and I get fifty cents for each order I deliver.  Then there’s the seven an our from the park and I can easily pull about forty to fifty hours there a week, once it opens all seven days.

All of this amounts to a very happy Kate.  Because whether or not Colleen and/or Bryan are in on it, Mike and I are moving out as soon as we can.  Though if it is just the two of us, I’m gonna see about staying on my mom’s car insurance for now.  It’ll be neat to manage, though.  And the savings that I come up, coupled with what he makes, should carry us through the winter months, after the park closes.  That’s *about* a six month span, or so I’m guessing.  Then it starts up, I apply to Keansburg again, lather, rinse, repeat.

I just hope I enjoy all this as much as I’m anticipating.  I should, though.

Of course I know Walt Simonson. His work on Thor was pretty influential, (Savage Dragon #7) and he drew the Frank Miller written Robocop vs. Terminator too. What’s your dad’s name, or is he not very famous and I wouldn’t know? It must be cool to have such a close link to comics. I actually generally hate manga; I find the stories to be rehashes of the same themes over and over:

someone’s got a crush on someone else, and some kind of ninja magic or demon is involved. i know that’s a generalization, but you get my drift. I think the over musclebound art has a place, and can be done well, like Simon Bisley or good Jim Lee work. I just can’t get into the simpler themes of 60’s comics. I find them hokey; Sandman wants the principal to give him a diploma? Sigh.
