Oh, My God . . .

I was just put into shock . . .

Rusty, the smallest, cutest, thinnest cat that we have has been in semi-bad shape for a bit. Last night, he was throwing up and he’s actually gotten thinner, and my dad just came back from bringing him to the vet. He says . . .

He says the vet thinks Rusty’s kidney is malfunctioning. That’s the same thing that happened to Fluffy, Jill’s poor cat . . .

Oh, my God . . . Rusty . . . No, this can’t happen to him. He’s barely eight years old!! He can’t die . . . He has to get better from this . . .

God . . . I want him to be okay. I want him to live, I don’t want him to die . . . I don’t want to lose him before Christmas. I don’t want to lose him at all . . .

God. I even mentioned the thing with Fluffy to my mom last night. I hate intuition sometimes!!! It gives me the notions, but never does anything good for me!

I want to cry, but I can’t seem to get the tears past this lump in my throat . . . My poor kitty . . . Please, don’t die. Maybe I haven’t always been the best person to be a cat owner, maybe I consider the cats to be more my parents than mine, because I’ve gotten sick of having nine of them. That’s too many cats for anyone except a die-hard cat fanatic, but I’ve never wished any of them weren’t here, especially not Rusty . . .

He’s the cutest little thing, with the cutest little face, and these adorable amber eyes, and he’s black with a few white hairs on his chest. I don’t want him to die . . .

What a sad situation. I hope things turn out well for Rusty. I have some happy news that may only be of little consolation, but here it is: I heard that they’re bringing back River City Ransom. It’s going to be on Game Boy Advance. I read it in my magazine and gasped loudly enough to pass out. I can’t believe it. That’s one of the best games ever and deserves to be brought back. [DorkAlert]

Are you sure you got 400,000 points in the Nintendo version of Tetris. This could be a different Tetris game we’re talking about. The blocks then would fall at speeds so quick that they’d just fall straight to the middle without you having any control. It’s amazing how obsessed you are with the Beatles and Nintendo games. Kate, I am so sorry…Rusty will be in my prayers. Try to keep your hopes up because kidney malfunctioning does not mean kidney failure. Fluffy had kidney problems for years, so it came as little surprise that they finally stopped functioning. Keep me posted. [Jilliebean]
