New (Second) Bird Decision

So, I had to work today.  Went over, got there right about ten and of course, Karlwas already in there.  We weren;t that busy all day.  That is, until Karl and I were gonna proof so we could leave.  Lol.  That’s always the way it goes . . .

Anyway, I went out to get food at one point, (gotta love how Airport Plaza has a deli/Blimpie’s, a pizza place, and a KFC all right there,) and stopped in the pet store first.  I’ve always liked that pet store, even if I don’t particularly trust their handling/gender assurances of the animals.  (Just ask Shannon about the gender thing.  Lol.)  But I walked in there, and up at the counter, they keep the baby birds, small frogs, sometimes fish in those small bowls, and I saw a cage with these two iddle baby cockatiels.  Yes, Iddle.  They weren’t even big enough to completely fill my palm.  I asked how old they were and the guy told me about three weeks.  I guessed then that they’d be ready to go to an owner in about a month and a half and he said yeah, that was about right.  So I asked if I could hold the one and he let me.  It was so cute!  And it was strong for a baby.  It clamped onto my shirt and didn’t want to let go!  Lol.  I asked if I could put a deposit down and he said I could, so that’s what I’m gonna do.  I think I have it figured right.  Let me see . . .

I’m gonna get about $250 for my paycheck this time, but let me round it down to $240.  I’m also gonna bring over $900 from the Washington account to deposit into my own out here.

Now, the things that I have to pay off or that I owe are: Mom — $75, monthly bill for the car.  Credit card — I’m estimating about $250.  My limit’s only $200 right now and I exceeded that by a few dollars, so I know there’s gonna be a fee for doing that.  Then there’s the first payment to the gym, which is $90, because it counts for the second half of Feb., and all of March.

So that means that right now, I have to pay off $415 worth of stuff, which, when subtracted from that $900 leaves me with $485.  Take out $300 because of the laptop I’m getting for Mike, (yes, three hundred is only a part of what’s bing ut towards it,) and that’ll leave me with $185.  And that’ll cover the bird, the cage, and leave me with twenty five dollars to have until I get my next paycheck, because the entirity of this one will go into my account to bolster it for the next time I have to pay off my credit card bill.

Cool.  So, all in all, about $250, $260’ll be in my account, and I’ll have everything paid off, and will still have access to my credit card for the month.  Nice!!  That way, I can pay for glasses/contacts with the card and then pay it off next month.  This works!!

And all I have to do now is put $250 aside each month for Mom’s money, the gym, and the cell phone bill, and I’m good.

Oh, yeah…  I can master finanaces.  Go me!  Lol.  All I have to do is put this into motion and I’ll have it covered.  Cuz I’m definitely going for this new bird and the cage that I saw over there.  I figured it’s better to not wait until Mom decides to go up in the attic to get the bottom half of the original cage I had.  If I did, ten bucks says the poor bird wouldn’t have a home until next Feb.!

Okay, so yeah.  That’s my master plan.  But I still need a name.  Any suggestions?  Shannon, if you’ve got more, I’ll take ’em.

You know . . . random thought.  I was just looking out the window and saw a squirrel climbing down a tree.  What does a squirrel do if it’s afraid of heights?
