My Novels
Well, I’ve started looking through the Writer’s Market Guide books for novels and short stories. I found a few interesting ones that I’m sending my first novel off to. I hope I hear something. I want to be published. I want to walk into a bookstore and ask for my book, and actually see it in print. I mean, how awesome would that be? To honestly be able to say, “Hey, you like that book? Yeah, I’m the one who wrote it.” That’d be so cool!
Yeah, I’m not hyper and perky about the idea of that . . .
Well, anyway. I don’t really know what to write about. My bird knows to come to me. It’s so adorable. Oh, I never said I had a bird in here, did I? Well, he’s a pearl cockatiel named Ivy. He is the most adorable little thing. When he wants his head scratched, he’ll climb around so that he’s under my chin,a nd just wait to be petted or scratched or whatever. It’s the cutest thing! I got him on July 7th from this pet store near my house. He cost a hundred, which isn’t bad for a pearl, which are slightly rarer than other cockatiels, like the gray ones. He’s definitely a shoulder bird, which I love, because I can type while he happily sits on my shoulder. And he makes the cutest little sounds, too. He does the regular chirp, but when he’s happy having his head scratched, or if he’s a bit annoyed, he lets out these little baby-eagle-type sounds.
I’m gonna go. Thanks to the one who wished me a happy birthday. Bye. 🙂 🙂 🙂

Yeah, and pay for it by credit card so they *know* it’s you who wrote it!!! : ) ~Meredith
