Monday’s Doings

On Monday we went to the Cornucopia for dinner with my Grandma.  Oh, joy . . .  ::Wipes away sarcasm::  Honestly, every time she comes out here, I can’t stand her all the more.  The first night she was over at our house, she once again made a "don’t be a pig" reference to me.  (I don’t think anyone else heard her, though, and luckily, I hit myself in the tooth with my high school ring and that made me and Rob crack up.)

Anyway, though.  It might have been on the way back from Cornucopia, but I realized why it has a bad effect on Rob to not have a good amount of sleep.  This was something I heard on Oprah a few years ago, and when I talked to Rob on the phone on Monday night, I told him I can’t beleive I hadn’t remembered this earlier.  Anyway, the later a person stays awake, the more their blod alcohol level rises and when a person has been awake for twenty four hours, they have the same B.A.L. level as a drunk person.  Which, when you consider that Rob even has to be careful how much NyQuil he takes, (because of his medications and the fact that NyQuil has alcohol,) it makes perfect sense why staying awake so long would have a negative effect on him.

He called during his break and that was when I told him about that and then we talked some more about other stuff, like the Encore challenge I’ve placed for myself and him.  I’ve been telling him for a couple months now that the next time a game of Encore was played, he and I would be on the same team.  Well, I decided that we should have a two on two match.  Me and Rob against Mike and Shannon.  Yeah, this is gonna be one interesting game . . .

Anyway, I didn;t see Rob on Monday night.  We just talked on the phone during his break and then when we were about to get off, I said I’d talk to him later and he said he’d call when he got off and was back at his house.

I was figuring that’d be cool, but I didn’t actually expect him to do it.  However, at about eleven thirty-ish that night, the phone rang and it was Rob.  We talked until about three thirty in the morning just about random things, relating lyrics to one another, playing/singing songs, and stuff like that.  I asked him at some point in the conversation if he wanted to come over on Tuesday, so yeah, we agreed I’d pick him up.  I also read random things out of the red binder to him, including a note that I’d written to Shaun about the entire Will situation.

After we got off, I think I read for a bit and then went to sleep, happy that I’d get to see him Tuesday.

Like I said, a year or two ago you could always find me watching Lord of the Rings, think cause I loved Orlando Bloom and Viggo Mortensen at the time. But now I still like Orlando but I can’t sit through the LOTR anymore. The movies bore me now lol
