Medieval Times

Today was amazing!  It was Melanie’s bridal shower/bachelorette party.  The first part, the shower, was held at a firehouse in Union Beach.  There were a whole bunch of us there and man, did Melanie ever get gifts!  (Most of them were towel sets.)  Lol, she has towels for every day of the week, but no place to put them!

Some of the gifts were really, really nice, though.  And there was a scramble game that had things to do with either her or Matt, or the wedding.  Plus a ‘guess the number’ game.  You had to guess how many M&M’s were in this heart shaped container.

It was fun.  Then, the ones who were going, (there were eight of us altogether,) gathered at Melanie and Matt’s apartment to start off for Medieval Times.  Melanie, me, Mary, Lauren, Brittany, Andrea, Kathleen, and Carmin all went, but it took us a good fifteen minutes to get in there and get to our seats.

The show was awesome, though I could barely hear what the different characters were saying.  The sound quality over the head mics wasn’t that great.  But there was a horse trainer who did this whole routine and a falcon trainer who had the bird flying around above the audience and such.  I wish I’d gotten a picture of it!

Our knight wasn’t that great.  He looked like he was about twelve.    I think he fought all right at the end of his match against the other knight he was facing, but the beginning was just… bleh.
