Lurking, Lurking, Everywhere

I’ve hung out with Mike three times now, since the Christmas party.  Last week, he asked me to keep what he’s told me about Jill discreet, since he said that I do indeed have an Open Diary lurker.  He didn’t say who, I honestly think he doesn’t know, but you gotta love how someone in that group who turned against me can’t stay away from reading the things that I write.  It’s entertaining, to be honest.

In other news . . . Lol, well, let me just say that it sucks to be someone who picks up the speech patterns of others when I hang out with a stutterer.    No, I don’t start stuttering, but I do find myself talking in much more of a monotone, and I have pauses in my sentences where normally, that wouldn’t be the case.  Matt’s awesome, though.  He really is.  Not to mention freakin’ hysterical!  I gotta see if it’s okay with him if I copy down something he had to write the semester before this past one.  It’s awesome.

I’ve pretty much given up on Drew.  He’s not contacting me, and even though he told me to take the things Ed says with a grain of salt, I can’t help thinking Ed’s right when he tells me Drew wants nothing to do with me.  ::Sighs::  Oh, well . . .

Not much is going on, otherwise.  I’m not taking any classes this semester, but I am focusing on my writing again.  I’m back on writing the Ivy series, which will be named Memories of the Misunderstood.  I’m trying to replan what all the books will cover and I’m having to remake the character sheets and whatnot, which sucks.  But I looked over the first novel that I really sat down and worked on in Wichita, and all I have to do is complete two more chapters, so I’m gonna see if I can finish that up tonight while I’m waiting for Matt to get out of a meeting here at Brookdale.

Yeah, I’m typing this here at Brookdale.  I’m getting off soon to work on the book and possibly see about drawing a cover for it.  I don’t know what scene to do, though.  Maybe I’ll do the concert scene where Ivy, Leslie, and Chad are at Veteran’s Park.  It’d be a nice crowd scene that shows three of the main characters, anyway.  Or maybe something at the Halloween Dance.  ::Shrugs::  I don’t know.

I gotta try and update in here more frequently, though.  Here’s to a valiant attempt in the coming weeks!
