Hey.  Okay, I’ll have to check out her diary and add it to my favorites list.  Does she, like you and me, draw stuff, or is it just a poetic name?

Yeah, one or both of you should definitely get AIM.  That way we can talk.  I miss knowing that you’re there online.  I like reading your entries and reading your reactions to my notes.  By the way, you don’t have to privatize them all.

Let’s see . . .  No, I haven’;t painted a smiley on the new car, it’s just plain teal.  But it’s a nice color just the saem.  I like it.  And this new car has more or less become my sticker mobile.  I have ones on there that say, “The Witch of the West was Framed,” (yes, I’m a huge Wicked fan,) “Stop following me, I don’t know where I’m going!” “If going to church makes you a Christian, does going to the garage make you a car?” “Oh, no!  Not another learning experience!” and “Drive carefully.  90% of people are caused by accidents.”

Oh, and you know how Mike and I have nicknamed different people as differnet animals?  I’m Hedgehog, he’s Turtle, Dan’s Badger, etc.?  Well, I have a bumper sticker that says “I poke badgers with spoons.”  How great is that?

The old Smiley mobile got sold to some friends of my mom from the church she goes to.  They’ve painted over the smiley, I’m sure.  I was definitely sad to see it go.  I mean, it was my first car, and it was a great one.  How can you beat the Smiley mobile?  But I did need a new car.

::Sighs::  I don’t know about meeting in secret.  I don’t like the idea of it and even though I miss you, too, I don’t think I have the strength to go through hiding from someone else’s parents.  Frankly, I think it’s just plain selfish and stupid of them to still be like this almost a year after the fact.  Tell you what.  Lemme see what I can do on my end.  I have a few strings I can pull.  Until then, though, maybe try talking to them.  I wanted to invite you to come see me in the Strawberry Festival this year.  Maybe a compromise can be reached if I pick you up from your house and they pick you up afterwards.  That way, you’re seeing the festival, they don’t have to drive both ways both times, and they can get you home when they want.  Anyway, try to accomplish something with that and if that doesn’t work, I’ll see what strings I can pull on my end, okay?  By the way, the Festival is the second weekend of June.

And as far as Mike Keller goes, no I never got up the guts to say anything to him.  I’m not even sure now that it was actually a crush.  I don’t know what it was.  ::Sighs::  The one thing I did figure out was that I was nowhere near over Jason.  (Largely, I’m still not.)  And I wouldn’t want to even attempt starting something with someone else until I was sure I was over the first person.  It wouldn’t have been fair to either of us if something did happen between me and Mike Keller.

I haven’t seen him in I’m not even sure how long anyway, though.  Months, I think.  I believe the last time I saw him was around Christmastime.

Anyway, that’s some of the background.  I’m not sure if it’s covered in these entries or not.  It might be.  I know the entire saga of the new car is in here, around the end of October.  And there may be a more recent entry entitled, “The Last Ride of the Smiley Mobile,” that tells about that day.
