I’ve Been Transferred To MARLBORO!!!!!!!

So last night, I worked till closing and Steve ended up going home early, which meant that he and Mike didn’t get to verse me again in Encore.  I think I got Steve addicted to it, based on last time we played.  It was great.

But anyway, around ten, ten thirty, a phone call comes in and when I came to the main room fro the back of the store, Mike says he has good or bad news, depends on how I take it.  I asked what it was and he said I was being transferred to Marlboro!

Unfortunately, I have two choices.  I can deal with this and go to Marlboro and pray that they hire people soon so that I can be re-transferred back to Hazlet, or I can quit.  Since quitting isn’t an option because I need the money and this is a good job for me, I have to deal.  ::Sighs::  But I don’t want to go to Marlboro!!!!

::Whine, whine, whine, bitch, bitch, rant, rant, whine, bitch::

::Sighs::  It’s not outta my system, but all I can do is work with it and hope that more people get hired soon.  I mean, I’m willing to give it a shot.  If I seriously dislike it that much, I’ll see if I can get another job, maybe waitressing, I don’t know.

On the very big upside, I can still have my three days off during the week to work on my novela nd spend with animals and whatnot.  I’ll probably be pulling all day shifts on the days I am working, but that shouldn’t be too bad.  As long as I am coming in at eleven thirty/noon and they don’t expect me to come in for a school lunch thing after closing.  Then again, school lunch on Friday after closing Thursday wouldn’t be that *bad.*  It’s gonna be closing on the days where we’re open till one that are Hell.  Cuz Ellen’s great, but she’s a cleaning Nazi, so I know we’ll be there after closing for at least an hour.  And if we close at one, that means two before we leave, and then at least two thirty before I get home.

 . . .

And I’m not threatening to quit because . . . ?

Lol . . . Oh, well.  I’ll deal, somehow.  If I seriously do hate it that much, I’ll ask if someone else can be transferred, or if I can just be moved back.  I don’t know.

I think I’m gonna go work on the novel now.  I’m up to chapter seven on an upside.

Speaking of upsides, I’m gonna do a list.

Good thing about being transferred:

1. Supposedly there’s better tips.

2. I get ten more cents for each run.

3. I’m not gonna have to work with Mike Kelly anymore.  (Complete jackass.)

4. I won’t be subjected to the jerks who live in this area.

Bad things about being transferred:

1. I’m going to MARLBORO!!!!!

2. I have to get used to an entirely new area the size of three Holmdels.

3. It’s a half hour trip each way to get there.

4. I won’t get to see the people I like in this area anymore.

Well, that’s about all I have right now.  ::Sighs::  My first day there is Tuesday and last day in Hazlet in tomorrow.  Wish me luck, everyone.

Good luck on the transfer. Hopefully it will work out really well for you. If the tips are better, maybe it will be worth it :-). But if it doesn’t work out, you should definitely try to find another job. No sense in keeping a job you dislike.

So, how’s it been? The Marlboro thing, that is. Ya know, when I first read your entry title, I was thinking you met the cigarettes and I was prepared to be very irrate with you on the issue of smoking.
