I want to Leave That Store!!!

Okay.  So when I went into work today, I talked to Sharon.  One of the advantages of working at that place is if you need money, you can get an advance on your paycheck.  Like, if we need twenty dollars, we can get it, and then it’s marked on the time card so that when we’re paid, we get twenty bucks less than we would have.  That way it balances out.  And the same thing happens if we’re short on the register or whatever. If it’s more than two or three bucks, it comes out of our paycheck.  So, about a week and a half ago, the backup was short by fifty dollars and both me and this other woman, Sharon, had touched the backup. She said the next day that she was mad because it was all being taken out of her check.  And even I, who would suffer from it as well, was saying that yeah, it should be split between the two of us.  But it was all on her.  So, I get my paycheck yesterday, and twenty five dollars is taken out of it, and the owner says, oh, it’s because of the shortage in the backup, it was split between you and Sharon.

And I was like, “Oh, really? I was never told this.” And she said well it was marked on your card.

No, I don;t have a problem with the money being split between me and Sharon.  What I do have a problem with is so what if it was marked on my card? Last I heard, fifty was being taken out of Sharon’s, and no one mentioned a thing to me about us splitting it.  Not to mention that the owner acted like it being marked on my card explained everything and that she wasn’t responsible for me not being observant or something.

Then today, I mentioned that to Sharon, and she said that the owner’s told her that they had spoken to me about it, and that I had said it was okay!  They never spoke to me about anything.

So, yeah.  That really pissed me off.  Because of Keansburg, I’m gonna tell them that my availability is down to four days a week after this Sunday and if I find another job, I’m just gonna quit outright.  I honestly can’t wait to leave this job.

Okay, I’m being prodded to write more on my Ivy story, so I’m gonna go do that and write more in here later.
