Happy

For the first time in what feels like a very long time, I’m happy.  I’m honestly, truly, absolutely happy.  Tonight I went to the Holy Family carnival with David, this guy from my speech class.  He met up with me at Brookdale after my Comp Lit class and we went to Union Beach and hung out there talking for awhile.  Then we went to the carnival, went on some rides, got some prizes, ate some food.  Then we came back to my house and watched the Star Wars episode of Family Guy.

I don’t know, I’m just . . . extremely content right now.  It’s hard to believe that I was so depressed a month ago.  But through that, I was proven who really cares about me.  Several people on here do, as well as my ‘in-person’ friends.  And I’m loving that I’m meeting some pretty cool people in my classes.

My speech class is amazing!  Prof. Miller is hilarious and I love the speech workshop subjects we’ve done.  Like, our intro speech, he wanted us to tell us about embarrassing moments, funniest moments, things like that that really would let the class know who we are as people, instead of the boring, "Hello, my name is ____ .  I’m majoring in ____ ."  Then, we had to do a significant personal object speech, which was pretty cool.  And the informative speech was awesome.  I did mine on the Beatles.  Specifically, what the story/inspiration was behind Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite, and Good Morning, Good Morning.  My persuasion speech topic is this: To persuade the audience that Thirteen Reasons Why is a terrific book everyone should read that will broaden their minds to the effects their actions can have on others.

And my demonstrative speech is gonna be on how to play the guitar.  I already have the outline written out for it, I just need to know from Prof. Miller if we have to have sources for that one.  If not, I’m set.  I just need to figure out how to do it in four minutes so I can spend the next three playing and singing a song.  It’s gonna be great.

And in my Education class, I got zero wrong on the last quiz!  I got an A!  I was very happy!
