Friday The 13th
Well, today’s actually been fairly boring as days go. I stayed up l;ast night watching Family Guy and reading. Fell asleep about four in the mroning, which has been the norm for the past week. That can’t be a good thing… Anyway, I gotta get it back on track because I work at noon tomorrow. So I have to wake up around eleven.
Back on today. I did some laundry, took a shower, got dressed, and went to work. I actually wore a skirt, simply because we have to wear khaki bottoms and this skirt fit the color. Anyway, I get there, go on a few runs, get my pay check, go on a few more runs, and then Joh asks if any of the drivers want to go home. So I sorta raised my hand. I was only there about two and a half hours, which sucks considering I called out the last two days, but oh, well. In any case, I was able to cash my paycheck and I had the money to pay Mike back, as well as excess to keep/splurge. After I got off, I went to Marshall’s to see if that funky red hat was still there. It wasn’t, though. I left and went over to Barnes and Noble to pick up a late Mother’s Day gift for my mom. She is so freakin’ hard to shop for! But I know two movies that she likes. Funny Girl and Up Close & Personal, (because of Robert Redford, as far as I know.) I picked up Funny Girl and I found a bunch of DVD’s that I wanna get in the future. They have Goosebumps episodes, the original Care Bear series, Fraggle Rock, and they had “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.” But I didn’t get any of those yet. I got the Secret Garden, Anastasia, and the Swan Princess. My DVD collection is growing.
I came home and gave Mom the DVD. She liked it.
Also, earlier, I was researching colleges where I can get a Masters degree in psychology after I graduate from Brookdale. I found one and sent an E-mail requesting some information. I hope they get back to me soon and don’t just direct me to some link in the website. I mean, if I’ve sent them an E-mail, doesn’t that mean that the website didn’t answer the questions I have?
Mike’s not here tonight. I guess Dan nabbed him for some early morning cleaning job tomorrow and to save time in the morning, he’s sleeping over there.
I’m going skating at that outdoor rink later on. I love going there at night. It’s just a gorgeous place to go to. Soem night, I want to have batteries for my CD player, and skate around that rink to Dancing Through Life, or something like that. I’d still love to make up some kind of choreography to a song like that. I mean, wouldn’t it be neat if the church parking lot was paved and I could skate to No Good Deed as well as sing it? Heh. Though, my luck, if I did that, I wouldn’t be able to hold the last note anywhere near as well. Heck, I can barely hold it as it is for the entire time Idina Menzel does. I swear, those singers have some really huge lung capacity.
I’m still waiting to hear if I can even be in the Strawberry Festival. I mean, I don’t want to be practicing for nothing. But he’s gotta let me in! I’ve been in it every year since the end of my junior year! I think . . .
Lemme see. That first year, I did the songs with Will. The next year, I think it was that acapella thing with Mike. Then there was that band setup with Ryan and his brother, Andrew. And either I missed performing for a year, or I don’t remember what I did. Because the band thing was in 2002. The year after that was when I was sick and I still somehow managed to sing All You Wanted and I Hope You Dance. Then last year was the one with Joey. And now this one.
Hmm… This is gonna bother me.
I hope I can be in this year’s festival, though. I mean, I even know what I’m gonna wear. I’m doing both Glinda and Elphaba songs, so I’m wearing this pink sleeveless shirt I have and a blakc skirt with a pink ribbon and trim. And despite it being June and all, I’m brining my black cape to wear for No Good Deed and possibly As Long As You’re Mine.
If I can perform in it, it’s going to be a very good Strawberry Festival.
And now I’m gonna go skate.
Happy Friday the 13th, everyone!!
Heheee…. you should see my DVD collection! 😀
