Everything Phantom And Holmes

I happened to be on MySpace last night, (didn’t take Dolly off my list, but I took her off the Top 8,) and I saw a website for a book called Return of the Phantom.  That led me to investigate Barnes and Noble’s website and I found several Holmes and Phantom books that now, what with me having the day off, I shall go find.

Work is interesting as of late.  I’ve been working in the Ocean store since Friday, because that’s where I’m going to be the assistant manager.  Scott, one of the district managers and also the one in charge of hiring, was working with me yesterday, showing me the right way to make pizzas, etc.  He was giving me his points of view on how things should work, how the people who work for him should act, and all that good stuff.  That part basically equated to this: he has higth expectations of hiself, therefore he expects the people around him to work up to those same standards.  You do, you’re good; there won’t be any problems.  You don’t, you’re in trouble.

I don’t think I’ll have many problems, at least not serious ones.  I hold myself to high expectations, too, and though it seems a little overwhelming right now, if I didn’t think I could handle assistant managing, I wouldn’t have said I was serious about becoming one.

Inventory’s pretty easy there, though they have the stuff spread out kind of weirdly.  And I completely rearranged the walk-in freezer last night.  The stuff was just everywhere.  I mean, it had something of an order, cuz a box of deep dish would be on one shelf, and the next box of deep dish would be on the shelf under it.  It’s like, put them on top of one another on one shelf!

Anyway.  That’s about all for now.  Rob feels all iffy and twitchy, so I’m making him food while he sits down.
