Entry 805 – Addition To My Theory And Sore Throat

Remember that theory I posted not too long ago about seizures being the way to scramble a person’s brain to ‘what it should be?’  To put it crudely, anyway.  Well, I’ve added upon that idea.  There was an article in a Time magazine that I picked up at Mike’s dad and grandma’s last time we were up there that had a whole bunch of information on the effects of meditation and whatnot on the brain.  It said that regular meditation and focus techniques can actually help reshape the brain and give a person better memory, concentration, and stuff like that.

Well, based on what I know from Mike about meditation, it’s all about gaining and maintaining an inner focus.  Sort of a 24/7 control over yourself, your movements, everything you do with your body and mind.  The ultimate sense of control.

On the opposite side, there are seizures.  Which indicate to me an ultimate loss of control.

Now, if you combine the two, what could happen?  I was talking to Rob last night and one type of seizure he has is called a petite maul seizure.  He doesn’t shake or anything like that, but he can’t respond to anyone, can’t move, nothing, until it’s over.

I was telling him last night that in a way, I wished he was able to induce a seizure like that, because then, we could experiment with those meditational techniques I’m thinking about.  Because meditation is the ultimate control, right?  So what if, at least with those petite maul ones, he was able to break through it because of that meditation, that inner focus and control?

I asked if he was willing to try this, you know, learning meditation and seeing if he can put it to use.

(Lol, unfortuantely, I’m adding to this entry to complete it a few days later, so I don’t remember all that happened.)

Though he did agree to let me see what I can teach him as far as meditation goes.  And I remember he and my mom were watching the football game on TV and I took some NyQuil, (stupid sore throat,) and ended up falling asleep in his lap.

Lol, he decided to pull a Sleeping Beauty thing and see if I would wake up with a kiss.
