Entry 401 — Oh, Yeah!! That Was Something Else!!

Yeah, one of the other things that happened yesterday was, Mike and I were both trying to get an answer out of Jason about something, and my dad had gone out to his room. Now, if you know the layout of my house, the living room wall is also one of the walls of his studio. And he plays records, tapes, etc out there really loud. So, we’re sting there, Jason evading the question, and I recognized the song that was playing. So, I looked at the wall with something of an expression of disgust, I’m sure, and said, “Sorry, Paul, but no.” And Mike asked what I was talking about. I said, “The song It’s Let it Be.” So, then, a few minutes later, I hear another one, and once again, I look at the wall, and just mutered something along the lines of, “I don’t know if we can.” Or maybe it was, “Well, there’s an ironic line.” Because the song was We Can Work It Out, and what I’d just heard was John’s part of, “Life is very short, and there’s no time for fussing and fighting, my friend. I have always thought that it’s a crime, so I will ask you once again . . .” Then, later, I heard Get Back, and recognized it by the drumming. That was when I said, “What is this? A song conspiracy against me?” It’s happened before. Lol.
