Education And Speech

I’ve had my first two classes of both Education 105 and Speech 115.  They were both pretty fun, especially the speech class.  The teacher is insane, but he’s really funny and energetic, so it balances out.  Plus, with so many people being afraid of public speaking, I think it really helps to have a teacher who’s so off the wall, and obviously loving what he does for a living.

In the first class, we each got up and told a funny or sad or embarrassing experience that happened in our lives.  Then, for the next class, we had to bring in and give a two minute or so speech on a significant object, whether it be a stuffed animal, a photograph, whatever.  I picked Purplgrr, that alien that I got at Great Adventure when I went with Jason.

I’m seeing these courses as easy A’s.  The only thing I foresee a problem with is the outline/sources I have to write/find for the speeches.  At least one has to come from the Brookdale database in the library.  I’ve got my student I.D. so I can go on from home, but it’s still annoying.  I don’t know if there’s anything on the Beatles in there!  And that’s what I’m doing my first speech on.  "To inform the audience of the influences behind the writing of Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, Good Morning, Good Morning, and Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite."

I think I’ll do my persuasive speech on the entire debate of ‘Lucy’ being about LSD.

And we get to do a gripe speech, too.  I know what I’m doing that one on.  Phantom play versus Phantom movie.

My Computer Literacy class starts this Wednesday, so I’ll see how that goes.
