A New Bird?
I don’t know. I just don’t know.
I thought I heard Ivy scratching around in her cage last night . . .
I knew today that I needed another bird. I needed to find another cockatiel I could own. Well, okay, I didn’t decide on another cockatiel until towards the end of the day.
In any case, neither Sharon nor I were that well off at work. I lost Ivy last night, and Sharon’s mom had to have her dog put to sleep this morning. So, yeah. Neither of us were in great shape. But I didn’t start crying at work, though it was close a couple of times.
In any case, after I got off work, Mike and I went to several different pet stores, inluding drivng down to the Bird Jungle, looking at other birds. I held on at Pets Plus, two at PetSmart, and a couple at the bird Jungle, but none of them really reached out and spoke to me. Not like Ivy had . . .
We came home, and stayed here for a bit. Then, I just had to get out of the house, so I suggested going down to Wal-Mart. First we stopped at PetCo, though, and looked at another cockatiel. We found out that except for one kind, there’s a way to tell male from female because of the design on the underside of their tale. And the one I was looking at was female. So, yeah, that turned me off right there. I’d decided by then that I was going to get a male bird, no question, no alternative.
We went to Wal-Mart and I bought the extended version of Return of the King, and slippers for Nana, cuz the pink ones I gave her a few years ago are biting the dust.
Anyway, that’s about all from me. I did check out one thing. A place called The Bird Farm that I’m going to go to tomorrow. I wish I could find that place that Mike’s talked about, called the Canary Bird Farm.
