602 – Finance Managment And Good Decisions
Well, it turns out I was looking at the wrong part of the receipt for one of the credit card purchases I made. I didn;t go over! I’m actually about ten bucks under. So, I’m gonna pay it in full when I get the money from the Washington account. Once that clears, I’ll take care of my car repairs. And my paycheck’ll be used to pay off the gym, my mom, Mike, and put 25 more down on the bird at Pets Plus. I went to go see it today and held it again. It is so cute!! I do hope it’s male, but I won’t complain if it’s female. I’ll just be very, very paranoid.
Lol. I can just see, this time next year, “Hey, who wants to buy a baby cockatiel from me?” That would be cute, if they had babies. I wouldn’t want to give them away, though. But I know I’d have to. I’d more than likely give them to the Canary Bird Farm. Because I’m sure they keep a detachment from the birds, but they do take good care of them. I’m getting ahead of myself, though. I don’t even know whether the new one is male or female.
Plus, I’m not sure what I should name it. I know, I’d told Shannon a few days ago that I’d chosen Kirby, but . . . this bird looks like Ivy. And I mean *really* looks like Ivy. I think I’ll be okay with that, but I’m debating the merits of calling the bird ‘Ivy’ as it’s name. I don’t know. I’ve got time to figure it out, though.
I’m just glad thatmy finanaces are getting straightened out, and I’ll be able to cover everything with this paycheck, the Washington money, and my next paycheck. Plus, this is the first car repair that I’m paying for on my own! No dependencies to parents and adding more onto what I owe them! Woo-hoo!!
Not to mention that where I took the car for the oil change, they gave me an estimate of three hundred for just the one belt they said needed to be replaced. Someone at work recommended another place on the same highway, opposite side, and said they were really good. So, I went there and got an estimate. The timing belt, another belt, the water pump, and something with the anti-freeze, (in other words, a complete engine overhaul,) $360. Sixty bucks more, and I’m getting three more things done. Yeah, I find this worth it.
So, yeah. Financial independence, (of a sort, anyway,) managing money, and getting another birdie. That’s my life right now. Oh, yeah. And refurbishing my novel. I’m completey reworking it and I’ll post some of it soon.
Okay, I’m gonna go. Bye. 🙂 🙂 🙂
