534 – Bumper Sticker Sayings, Please?

Drive My Car
By:
The Beatles

Asked a girl what she wanted to be
She said baby, can’t you see
I wanna be famous, a star on the screen
But you can do something in between

Baby you can drive my car
Yes I’m gonna be a star
Baby you can drive my car
And maybe I love you

I told a girl that my prospects were good
And she said baby, it’s understood
Working for peanuts is all very fine
But I can show you a better time

Baby you can drive my car
Yes I’m gonna be a star
Baby you can drive my car
And maybe I love you
Beep beep’m beep beep yeah

Baby you can drive my car
Yes I’m gonna be a star
Baby you can drive my car
And maybe I love you

I told that girl I can start right away
And she said listen baby I got something to say
I got no car and it’s breaking my heart
But I’ve found a driver and that’s a start

Baby you can drive my car
Yes I’m gonna be a star
Baby you can drive my car
And maybe I love you

Beep beep’m beep beep yeah
Beep beep’m beep beep yeah
Beep beep’m beep beep yeah
Beep beep’m beep beep yeah

Well, I’ve decided against the Volkswagen.  I’ll wait till the gasps stop to continue . . .

Okay, anyway.  I decided against it because of a couple of things Mike brought up, as well as the cost.  It’s about five thousand more expensive than the teal one.  And needless to say, I just don’t have that much money.

Well, anyway, I got next to nowhere talking to my mom about either car, so when I woke up this morning, I decided that I was going to take matters into my own hands.  I got up, got a nice, professional looking outfit together, took a shower, and went to the insurance company where my parents do the auto insurance.  I asked a general price of taking the one car off, and putting this new one on, and since the new one would be on for liability, and just that as far as I know, it would be about the same price.  So, that’s good.  The insurance isn’t gonna go up.

So, after that, I went to the bank because I wanted to find out if there was any possibility I could take out a personal loan to pay for the car, and then pay the bank back at such and such an amount per month.  Well, I was only there for a few minutes, because I found out I needed the make, model, and VIN number.  So, I drove back down 36 to the place, got those three pieces of info, as well as a total price for the car.  (ie – price, tax, temporary plates, the actual plates, the title change, etc.)  The total’s a little over 4600, which isn;t that bad.

Anyway, after finding that stuff out, I went back to the bank, and they ran it through to see if I could get a personal loan.  I’ll find out tomorrow if I’ve got it.  ::crosses fingers::  I hope I do.

I like this car.  The only grievance I have is that it’s a two door.  I’d rather have a four door, but everything else seems good with it.  It’s still one with a casette player, but that’s okay.  I can buy a discman eventually, or something.

I’m not gonna change the color on this one, so there won’t be a smiley mobile for awhile.  But on the upside, as I believe I said in the last entry, I’ll go sticker happy.  Heck, anyone who reads this, please give me bumper sticker sayings.  Funny ones, thoughtful ones, anything.  And I’ll either make them into stickers, or see if I can find them.  Because Hot Topic usually has a pretty wide selection of bumper stickers.  I love buying things there.

Ah, yes.  What I’m probably gonna do with the old car is this: we have a friend of the family who does work on cars.  As a matter of fact, we gave him the car we had before the Neon.  So, I’m hoping to sell mine to him for say, about a hundred, and he can use it for parts, or whatever.  And then I’ll already have a sum of money to use for a first payment on the new car.

Yeah, I’m a sentimentalist.  I don’t wnat to get rid of my car, but I honestly can’t afford not to.  Too many things are wrong with it, and I have to get another one before winter.  There isn’t a choice in the matter.  I need a car with heat, and one whose windows will fully shut.  I don’t have that in the current one.

Okay, I’m gonna go.  Bye. 🙂 🙂 🙂

*singing* Kate’s getting a new car, Kate’s getting a new car!! That’s awesome.. Even though it’s not the VW that you weren’t wanting – and it’s just an Nissian *pukes*, yay!! But it’s teal and you got a great deal, so it’s all good.. 🙂 Plus, you did your homework and you did good, kiddo!! See, if there was no Math, you might have not be able to do your homework on the car. Oh Math, the sunshine .

.. of our lives, Kate.. Don’t deny it. 🙂 Mmmm, if I see something good for a bumper sticker, I’ll definitely let you know, okay? I hope you are doing good and I’m sorry about before – I really wanted to talk with you but we got so interrupted both times. 🙁 Hopefully we’ll get a chance this weekend to talk especially with the other favor I’m going to do with you. Hope you have a great night.
