12 In 12 Book – Shadow of Reichenbach Falls

Shadow of Reichenbach Falls
John R. King
350 pages

This book takes a new look at what happened to Holmes when he and Professor Moriarty went over the Falls at Reichenbach.  Or rather, when Holmes is thrown over them by Moriarty.  He gets amnesia and is luckily found by a man and his lovely female companion, whom he just met as she was walking to the Falls, wanting to honor her father’s memory because it was where he died.

Or is it?

I don’t want to give too much away of this book, but needless to say, the idea of an amnesiac Sherlock Holmes greatly intrigued me and since I want to get my hands on anything Holmes related, I got this one.  It has a unique aspect among Holmes books as well.  It actually has a first person narrative from Holmes.

Not only that, but this book incorporates a history of Moriarty, with him finding love, getting married, and losing that love, along with elements of Jack the Ripper.

I’d definitely tell anyone who likes a good mstery, a good Holmes story, or just a good read to pick this book up.  It is available for order from Barnes and Noble, but I got it from the Hamilton book collection, the website of which is where I bought this from.  It offeres discounts on hardbounds and paperbacks alike.
