time just keeps on flying by

Wow, I can’t believe I haven’t written here in such a long time!!!  I am writing this with my delightful new laptop that is an early birthday present.

My dad turned 80 and we had all of our family here for passover, with invited guests we were 15 at the table for seder ranging in age from 2 to 80 and spanning 3 generations.

I am still knitting.  I went through a craze for short button scarves, I knit 3 of them and 2 neck tubes and a hat that can be a neck tube or a neck warmer or a hat:)  Two of the scarves still need to have buttons sewed on them.

I took part in a knit a thon that was a lot of fun and a ocuple of my relatives pledged money and I raised $40 for a local shelter.

I am well into 2 blankets but I am flagging on both of them.  One is just going to need soooo many stitches and the other one, well I had an issue with running out of yarn.  I found what I thought was a very adequate substitute but now I am not so sure.

My daughter has started rehersals for a ballet show and I have started a new short scarf knit in the round as my carry around knitting.

So, in summary, I’m stil here, still alive,  still knitting and still reading about knitting:)

80! OMG!!! Re Logan and Gord: I’m sad for Gord that he’s not here to see his grandsons. He’d be tickled by them both and by Auron’s uncanny resemblance to Logan, and not just in looks, either. So sweet. With a smile…
