summer is almost over????

We have had a lot of hot and especially humid weather this summer.  I can’t remember when I have been busier.  My son’s wedding went well, the bride was beautiful, the speeches were funny and moving and the food was edible:)  My 5 year old niece was a flower girl and my 15 year old daughter was a bridesmaid and both did great in spite of considerable nervousness on both of their parts.

The week of the wedding was filled with visitors and events.  It was also the only week this summer that I haven’t gotten tired, dirty and sweaty digging through piles of stuff, mostly books, that my father owned and that now need to be disposed of in one way or another.

Balancing the needs of 7 people, 3 households (including 3 dogs) has been more than a little challenging especially as we are all still trying to adjust to a major loss.
